Between the third and fourth span of the north wall there is a wall sector which corresponds to the point of connection of the western half of the room onto the original Giulio Romano's loggia. In the part above the stucco cornice there is an oval niche in gilded stucco, intended to house a stone bust; the area below is framed by a painted band, which repeats the vegetal interweaving motif present at the ends of the other spans, and has a high plinth in fake red marble.
