Nautical Map of the Mediterranean Sea, by Jean François Roussin. This chart was realised in Venice in 1673 and is kept at the Royal Library in Turin. Venice was an important centre for the production of charts. The presence of the Marseilles cartographer Jean François Roussin bears witness to this. He produced various charts and atlases in Venice between 1660 and 1673 before returning to Toulon and Marseilles to spend the last years of his life.
