The Universal Nautical Chart by Giovanni Vespucci was created in 1523 and is now preserved at the Royal Library of Turin. It is one of the earliest cartographic representations of the Americas. Giovanni, the nephew of the famed explorer Amerigo Vespucci, was active during the Renaissance. His map reflects the expanding geographical knowledge due to transoceanic exploration, offering a global vision of the known world in the early 16th century.
