Modena, Fondazione Collegio S. Carlo, Cardinals' Hall: "Allegories of Poetry and Painting." Within the frescoed decoration with faux stucco and architectural features of the vault, a small balcony opens, highlighted by twin columns. A pair of allegorical figures of the arts looks out from this balcony: Poetry and Painting. The Baroque frescoes were painted between 1715 and 1716 by Emilian painters Pellegrino Spaggiari and Antonio Consetti.
