Genova, Cattedrale di San Lorenzo (Duomo): il braccio settentrionale del transetto. Tale parte dell’interno del Duomo è caratterizzata dal monumento funebre della famiglia Cybo, realizzato in marmo nel XVI secolo da Giacomo e Guglielmo della Porta con Niccolò da Corte. Al centro si trova Il grande organo a canne, le cui ante sono state dipinte da G. Benso (1634 -1636); ai lati dell’organo: Innocenzo IV proclama la traslazione delle ceneri  e Federico Barbarossa dona alla cattedrale di Genova la cassetta d’argento per le ceneri del Battista, affreschi di L. Pogliaghi (1910). Dello stesso autore è anche l’affresco della lunetta, Arrivo delle ceneri di San Giovanni Battista.

This part of the interior of the Cathedral is characterized by the marble funeral monument of the Cybo family, made by Giacomo and Guglielmo della Porta with Niccolò da Corte in the 16th century. In the centre is the large pipe organ, whose doors were painted by G. Benso (1634 -1636); on the sides of the organ: Innocent IV proclaims the ranslation of the shes and Frederick Barbarossa donates the silver box for the ashes of the Baptist to the cathedral of Genoa, frescoes by L. Pogliaghi (1910). The fresco in the lunette, Arrival of the ashes of St. John the Baptist, is also by the same author.
