State Archives of Modena, Estense Mapbook, Large Maps, no. 12 "Drawing of the termination and declaration of terms and boundaries made by Messrs. Comm. Bertacchi and Rinaldi between the communities of Valico di Sopra on one side and that of Cardoso on the other in the year 1628." On one side, the Este coat of arms and on the other that of the Republic of Lucca.
